Paris, October 11, 2024 – StarkAge Therapeutics, a biotechnology company specializing in
therapies targeting cellular senescence, today announced the appointment of Dr. Benjamin
LeCalvé as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective October 1, 2024. Dr. LeCalvé, who
previously served as Chief Scientific Officer (CSO), succeeds Dr. Thierry Mathieu, the
company’s founder and president, who has led the company since its inception.
The appointment of Dr. LeCalvé aligns with StarkAge Therapeutics’ strategy to strengthen its
leadership for the next phase of development, particularly in preparation for the fundraising
round beginning in November 2024.

Dr. Benjamin LeCalvé, a recognized expert in senescence and cancer research, joined
StarkAge Therapeutics in 2022 and has played a key role in shaping the company’s scientific
strategy and repositioning its drug candidate toward an ADC (Antibody Drug Conjugate)
model. He also spearheaded the formation of the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), which
brings together global experts in senescence and aging-related cancers, as well as the
Advisory Board, which advises the leadership team on the company’s overall strategy.
